Thank you, I love the importance of unlearning control. It is amazing to me all that opens when we release some of the habit of control...not only for ourselves but for those around us. Such a privilege to be included in your journey. Thank you for being so open.
Thank you for your courage to share your Big Scary Beautiful life right now and always. I'm in treatment for 'C' and so grateful for your post. Surrender. Yes! Scananxiety is real. But, so is joy.
Thank you for your meditation this morning on resilience in 10% app (I did due to frustration of going through a health challenge myself) which inspired me to find you on Instagram again and then i found my way here only to read this post which affirmed from your own journey that health challenges can be scary and can surrendered to the experienceβ¦and that is creating resilience. Feels like a full circle! Thank you for your gifts of teaching and inspiringβ£οΈ
Thanks for sharing Susanna. I'm so glad the meditation and posts are helpful. Wishing you lots of surrender and beauty (and sleep and luck) on your journey. xoxox
Thank you for this post. Thank you for sharing soothing ways to surrender. And thank you for introducing me to John Paul Lederach. His poems are a gift! Wishing you so much peace and many more naps in the sunshine.
Somehow, each time you write, no matter what's going on with me, your words pierce it all and are a balm - a strange balm (sometimes they sooth, sometimes they irritate) but my being receives them each and every time. Thank you for so many years of teaching, and balming.
Sending you love and gratitude for sharing the big scary beauty with us. Honestly it's the best description ever and makes me think of Anne Lamott's, "Help Thanks Wow". Wish we could stay in that state of magical, grateful, surrender all the time.
Ay, cancerβ¦.been with it, been through it. I remember something I read in Rodney Smithβs book , Touching the Infinite, that led me to see that all the stuff (ie, fear) around death and disease is also just more concepts, more thoughts.Getting through the distractions of fear is hard. I love the phrase βbig, scary, beautiful!β
Thank you for your words. They rang a bell in my chest and I still feel their energy reverberating in my body. I also jump into control mode in response to what I fear. Unlearning that pattern isnβt easy and sometimes itβs hard to know how to let go but when you place that beside the concept of surrender to beauty, a path begins to emerge.
Blessed to be on this big scary beautiful journey with you! So much healing love - Althea
Thank you dear Althea! β¨πβ¨
