I recently realized how much energy and time my thoughts spend in comparisons thinking, and how it is so not helpful or conducive to mental health for me. I wondered.....is it just me who struggles with this? Thanks for your honesty in talking about your experience with this also. Because, after all, you're so enlightened (another comparison), and even you struggle with this! LOVE YOU.

Hi Sebene, I'm new to substack and happy to be here and away from the gram for a little bit now. I really appreciate what you share with us from deep within your heart-mind. I wanted to especially extend a thank you for the idea of placing names in a bowl. I have always wanted a specific practice for those suffering and since I have altars all over the place in my various spaces-it is a perfect way for me to incorporate it. I relate to so much of what you've shared hereโ€”I miss connecting with friends and know it is important to stay informed and bear witness, and I also have needed a pretty severe curtailment of social media and news, and even some breaks from reading beloved newsletters, for mental and physical health reasons.
