Thank you Sebene. I so appreciate all your options in your "In My Experience" section. I've been seeing lots of folks begging for guidiance on how to best work with all the fires that are raging (via meditation or other awareness practices) and your offerings resonate deeply for me. I've been struggling (I hate that word; and hate as well), its been deep and painful and I'm holding on to the back hoof of Chiron as he insists I bear witness and let go of what no longer serves. Your meditation was exactly what I required this morning. As you put it, "Currently, I bring in all the wayfinding woo."
Spring fatigue is real! Thank you German speakers for giving it its own word! This spring feels especially exhausting with the rapid and scary changes in our weather patterns this season. For those of us very connected to the earth for our work it's been alot of chaotic energy to wrangle everyday. It seems the chaos is reflected globally as well. I am so greatful for your offerings on this platform since I do not use social media. Thank you for this!
I appreciate your distinction between meditation and mindfulness. Meditation is just one of the many tools to bring me to embodied awareness. If I just focus on getting meditation “right” - I can miss mindfulness altogether. Although - you are my favorite meditation teacher by far - so keep posting the meditations. Love them!
Yes, I find it an important distinction to remind myself of… also so as not to fetishize meditation. And thank you for your kind words. I think it’ll be fun to do different meditations!
I hate the word ‘mindfulness’, I much prefer what you said: ‘embodied awareness.’
My mind is suffering. I’ve spent the last 20 years learning how to get out of my head and into my body. I’ve become quite good at paying attention to what I’m paying attention to. Pulling myself back into my body over and over is the most important thing.
Also just undertaking my Lowland Leader training to be able to lead lowland walks over here. Walking is such a wonderful way to get out of your head. So snap!
Wonderful Tank. Being in the body is not easy in a culture that privileges and rewards the mind so much. And lowland walks! Wow! So cool. Thanks for sharing.
Nothing exciting about lowlands, tbh! It’s just that in the UK, you get qualified by terrain and there are no mountains in the south of England to walk and train on. (And barely any in the UK at all…)
I will think of my path as the vertical collage you shared up above in moments as the idea of paths and sharing a laugh with the image was very comforting for me today. Thank you Sebene you have been and will be someone very grounding for me as I navigate life’s curriculum . ❣️💪
