I really loved this “my self is an ever changing, contradictory expression of life itself: trying to fix it anywhere is futile (I am literally vibrating energy patterns interconnected to everything in the universe throughout time)”!! Really makes it so much easier to embrace the Buddhist principle of “non self” with your framing. Thank you! Your vibrating energy patterns are most helpful! 🙏
"The moon is never chaotic" perfectly coincides with a teaching Kate Johnson and Pamela Weiss shared, via Bikkhu Analayo:
In this sun simile, equanimity finds its counterpart in the full moon, which reflects the sunlight. The beautiful moonlight. The sky free from clouds. It also shines, but not as brightly as the sun. It also gives some warmth, but not as strongly as the sun. It’s a reflection of it.
Thank you for sharing this. It is beautifully written and expressed.
'The Moon is never chaotic. They magnetically guide Earth through the solar system, faithfully orbiting us every month, harmonizing migration patterns, signaling spawnings, regulating our watery highs and lows, dancing with the Sun. When I reconnect to these greater rhythms, I draw upon the power of elemental and ancestral practices to balance, fortify, and uplift me.'
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! I listened to this article while reading it and this has been a long-time runner in my mind. The way you spoke about how the main goal is to accept yourself and be kind to yourself and understand the complexities and contradictions of your being with grace and acceptance.
I love your style of writing as well as your style of reading and the guided meditation helped me re-centre this morning ☀️
I loved this! Understanding our shadows, particularly during this solstice/full moon energy, is very helpful. The sun (our ego) made a square with Neptune in Pisces on the solstice and the full moon (our emotional selves) joined the square the next day, kicking up deep insecurities and feelings that we may try to bury. This moon wants us to face those wild, hidden parts of ourselves to make friends. Insecurities have definitely been popping up for me, but I’ve been taking the time over the last few days to journal about it and remind myself that those insecurities are rooted in false narratives.
