Hello Sebene - thank you for this post and the accompanying meditation. Also, thank you for the other offerings and meditations. I agree with you that Jeff is a very special teacher. In my experience you're also a very special teacher. I'm grateful to have the two of you to guide me. Cheers.
I definitely would've opened the email if it said Vibes Matter. I love sending vibes to people. Good vibes, healing vibes, peaceful vibes, joy catching vibes, get me a matcha with oat milk please vibes. Ok. You get it. This was just the post I needed to hear as I seem to frequently be in an ongoing dialogue with myself about the importance of showing up to meditate. My grounded self says consistency matters, my self sabotaging self says, aaah, you're good today, you can skip it. But when I meditate, the reminder is absolutely apparent, I feel better, more at ease, more present, more capable of attending to the things that come my way. Whether it's spilling oats all over the floor this morning without dropping F bombs, or stepping into a kiddo's room at the hospital with open embodied awareness for whatever wacky mayhem we'll create together.
Thank you, as always. And I'm so looking forward to A2E. Sending good vibes! π ππ» π«Άπ»
Thank you for sharing your ever timely and insightful thoughts. I appreciate you and everything you do. Grateful to have crossed paths with you (and Jeff and Dan)! Iβm a huge fan of the meditation parties, and am looking forward to this next upcoming one! Thank you for being you and for all the vibes!! πππ
My practice had been essential lately in being with so many paradoxes!! They make me laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. And itβs my birthday month which has also been a huge paradox for me(enjoying celebrating and then hating having people celebrate me). Things are just really weird right now, for so many of us. Right now it is like this π
This was a very grounding meditation for me. I rarely do well with guided meditationsβI often need complete silence to connect with myself. But tonight this was just what I needed. Thank you so much for this offering.
I am totally new to Substack, to you, and to meditation thanks to Liz Gilbertβs BIG MAGIC RETREAT (at a campground in GA first weekend of October) that landed me here. I had a breakdown of sorts exactly October 2, and noticing this is when you posted this, I chose it as my first thing to read. I have been floundering, not knowing how to start this practice. Well, your βvibeβ not only just reached me this moment in South Carolina, but made this βdumbassβ literally lol - a double blessing! ππ. THANK YOU! Now, I know how to begin the βpracticeβ that matters. Today, I begin!
Thank you, Sebene, for having this is my inbox as about the first thing Iβve read coming off of a week long Buddhist retreat. Thank you for echoing the paradox of us as ultimately pulsating atoms vs the immediacy of our conventional lives - thatβs been hugely absorbing me these last days. I love your posts, always so grateful for them! ππ½πβ€οΈ
Just what I needed in the grocery store parking lotβ¦ heading home centered/remembering why I am important and how I interact with others is importance π€πΌ Grateful for your kicking meditation π
Sebene, you are so dear to me and have been foundational to my inquiry into ... well. anything! :) Thank you for literally everything.
"If I didnβt belong to you, I wouldnβt be here
If you didnβt belong to me, you wouldnβt have come
Your liberation is tied to my liberation
My liberation is tied to your liberation
and My heart & Your heart are very old friends."

Awww. Thanks for sharing Jillian. I appreciate your words. ππ«ΆπΎπ

Happy Birthday birth-month buddy!! ππ
"Vibing with you" is often joyful, sometimes challenging, always meaningful and useful. Thanks.
Merci Paul! Comment dit-on « vibes » en français?
la traduction littΓ©rale serait vibration, mais dans le langage courant quΓ©bΓ©cois, on dit vibe!
I thought about the connection to all the others who might be listening to and practicing this meditation... I felt less alone as a result. Thank yo.
Thanks for listening Michael. xox
