This is my first time receiving this column. I chose to listen while laying down, and i felt so soothed and connected, by your words, your voice, and the beauty of everything that brought me to this moment that you could share yourself in this way. My deepest gratitude to you.

Ian, thank you for sharing these kind words.

Many people have told me listening is their favorite way to receive my posts. I started recording them for a blind friend who played his auto-reader version for me -- it was so robotic and off putting I started recording them after that. Now this way is touching others too and that makes me so happy to know.

Thanks again for letting me know.

Dear Sebene, every single one of your newsletters (and other offerings) gives me permission to heal and to be me. Thank you thank you thank you. You also give me concrete ideas for things I can do - to heal and to be me - and today I'll make an altar for my 7/8/9 year old self who lived in terror, and who wants to heal, and needs me to see her. Thank you for giving me permission (through your courage and example) to dance awkwardly, wildly (through your meditation party with Dan Harris and Jeff) - I LOVED that episode. Thank you thank you thank you.

Thank you Selena for these very kind words. I’m really honored. And I LOVE the idea of an altar for your young self. That’s so tender and brilliant. Yes!! πŸ‘πŸΎ

Hello there, I wanted to say thank you for your honesty and ability to share what your going through in a way that asks us, the readers, to come along for the ride and not feel as alone on our health journey too. And for adding the woo in, or allowing it in and celebrating it, in my case. I've been grieving my health and some significant hair loss these days, partially due to menopause, and feeling like I should be better since I lead mindfulness groups and talk about impermanence all of the time, yet here I am crying about it when alone. What you've shared helps me to feel way less alone and to embrace all of it, even the f'ing messy and especially the resistance. ❀️❀️❀️

Oh Jiana

Thank you for naming this. Let us all be shining examples of beautiful messy awakened authenticity on this path. Pretending otherwise serves absolutely no one in the end bc we all get rude wake up calls to the changes/challenges in one way or another eventually.

Many blessings to you!

I am coming here many days after reading this to say the thing about happiness having an opposite but joy not having one, and joy being freedom has cracked my brain open in the best way. I can't stop thinking about it. I think you just changed my life. Thank you.

Love this.

The quote from your buddy La really has me thinking: "Grant that I may be given the appropriate difficulties and sufferings on this journey, so that my heart may be truly awakened and that my practice of liberation and universal compassion may be truly fulfilled." I take your response but it's really got me thinking.

It’s a beautiful prayer. I just don’t want to give the universe any more encouragement on my behalf. πŸ˜‚

Sebene πŸ’œ happy Sag 🏹full ♐moon πŸŒ•sis! I see some well placed BirrπŸ˜πŸ™πŸ½on the altar. Signed up for cosmic collage but will watch the replay. I will be at the empleπŸ•Œ then father's Day Celebration for brothers. Looking forward to my first collage πŸ’œ

I love πŸ’œ your altars for ancestors. I have 2 altars and will be adding a third one and was meditating on how to birth that one. Thanks for the inspiration πŸ™πŸ½

Messy is skillful means indeedπŸ™πŸ½I was just reading more various ways of Upaya while journaling. And I was vigorously searching for planetary meditations yesterday with no luck (nothing that resonated). I might have to write my own poetry for each planet and meditate on that. Jupiter just entered my 7th house on Thursday and my Uranus opposition is 6/6/23.

Big love❀ from Chicago

Selam Hilal! Oh, I’m sorry to miss you love but so happy you’ll be doing some collaging!

And please please update me about your planetary prayers. I love the idea that you’ll write your own and I may now take your lead. Thank you for that inspiration!

Hurrah to Jupiter in the 7th! May your relations and partnerships be filled with their abundant gifts! πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—
