Wow! You incorporated a lot of wisdom nuggets into this offering. I listened to it and then had to go read it too! Thanks for keeping us up to date with Finot and her life. I fell in love with her reading You Belong and am thrilled to hear your sisterly shenanigans. I have a daughter who was born with a chromosomal abnormality and she teaches me “Sometimes we need permission to simply be ourselves.” When I let her be her, and me be me I see no disability - just life unfolding with a whole lotta love!
That's such a beautiful way to put it Nicole. When I was a kid, I struggled with wishing Finot was not the way she is. And I still catch myself being frustrated with certain aspects of her beingness, but when I do settle into letting her and me be, there is such freedom and love! What a beautiful lesson. I deeply relate to your feelings of distance after publishing You Belong. I think for those of us who dig deep and evolve rapidly, by the time we get to the end of a big project, we’ve discovered so many layers of ourselves we feel like totally different people from who we were when we started!
I found you through dr Tara on her podcast and the more consume of your wisdom the more I know I’m in the right space. Just listening to this we have so so many similarities in our journey. I am in deep healing/delulu from a brain tumor last year and in the most difficult space in my life and in all honesty I didn’t think it could get any worse -so I’m here to say thank you so so much and I’m off to find your book x
Whenever I get one of your emails I stop what I am doing and read it right away and it is always exactly the right thing to do.
